Business Background
Clint Cora Leung is the founder of Free Spirit Gallery and Free Spirit Activewear. After completing his MBA degree, he spent 20 years in corporate industry in mainly the pharmaceutical and high technology sectors. He decided that he wanted to spend the rest of his working career in areas that combined his business experience with his main passions in life. As an admirer of aboriginal art, he started Free Spirit Gallery, an exclusively online art gallery specializing in Inuit art from the Canadian Arctic and Northwest Indian art from the Canadian west coast. He wanted to help promote these striking forms of aboriginal art to the rest of the world.
As a natural progression of his internet business, Clint started a new division called Free Spirit Activewear which specializes in premium quality casual clothing with specialty sports themes including scuba diving, martial arts and skiing/snowboarding. These are the specialty sports that Clint is extremely passionate about so it made sense for him to have the Free Spirit Activewear brand focusing on these niche areas. In addition to the two Free Spirit websites, Clint also maintains the Scuba Diving Bulletin, Martial Arts Bulletin and Inuit & Native Art Bulletin blogs.
Without entirely leaving the pharmaceutical industry behind,
Clint wrote a book called "How To Get A Dream Job In Pharmaceutical
Sales - Direct Inside Advice and Guidance from a Sales Manager"
which is intended for those who wish to pursue pharmaceutical
sales jobs as careers. A new blog called Pharmaceutical
Sales Drug Representative Bulletin has just been recently launched.
Martial Arts Background
Clint has been studying and training in martial arts for over
33 years. He has trained in kung fu, tae kwon do, karate, kickboxing and martial
arts weaponry. Unlike many other black belt level martial artists, Clint decided
early on that he did not want to run a martial arts school although he did
develop and teach a self defense course to hundreds of individuals over the
years. Clint even conducted cardio kickboxing classes for a short period of
time. However, his main focus in martial arts has been competition. He has
been an active competitor in tournament circuits since 1985 winning countless
awards and numerous titles including a Canadian national championship and
at least one World championship title in each of the top three open competition
circuits (NASKA, NBL and WSKF). Clint was also a member of a Canadian national
karate team. Today, he continues to be an active competitor specializing in
martial arts forms and weapons.
Scuba Diving Background
Clint has scuba dived in many areas around the world including
Florida, the Red Sea, Costa Rica and all over the Caribbean. He hopes to dive
someday in areas such as the Galapagos and Polynesian islands. After completing
his initial Scuba Diver certification, Clint went on to complete the Advanced
Scuba Diver, Rescue Diver and Master Scuba Diver certifications, all through
NAUI. He takes regular diving trips every year.
Skiing Background
Clint has been an avid downhill skier for many winters and is a certified ski instructor with the Canadian Ski Instructors Alliance (CSIA). He has run group ski trips to the Canadian Rockies and was the Fitness Director for a large Toronto based ski club. Clint was also an instructor at the famous Snow Eagles Ski School at Gray Rocks Resort in the Laurentians of Quebec.
